Toxicology

These slides are an accompaniment to the toxicology teaching session and the Toxicology module of the EMC course.

Whenever dealing with a potential toxicological (or toxinologicial) presentation, if you ever need guidance or advice, then call the Victorian Poisons Information Centre on 131126.  Remember to have your toxicological assessment of your patient prepared and ready to go when you talk the toxicologist.

Once again, the Life in the Fast Lane has excelled itself with its collection of Toxicology Condundrums.  These are well worth reading through to practice your approach to the toxicology patient.  Don’t worry about learning the fine details of each case, instead use them to hone your risk assessment skills.
